Immigrant Resource Center
Funded by the State of Hawai‘i, the Immigrant Resource Center is committed to serving the uprooted and displaced. Our initiative, “AIDE: Assisting Immigrants Deserving Equity,” ensures equitable access to programs and services for those who may not speak English well. Pacific Gateway Center (PGC) with community partners are jointly designated as the Immigrant Resource Center for Maui, Lanaʻi, Molokaʻi, and Kauaʻi, as well as Oʻahu in partnership with Parents and Children Together (PACT).
Since the devastating Maui wildfires in August 2023, the Maui community and Hawaiʻi as a whole have come together to recover, restore, and rebuild Lāhainā. As we at the Immigrant Resource Center, led by PGC, are committed to empowering the uprooted and to helping rebuild lives, we are focused on assisting the limited-English proficient communities of Maui during this difficult time of relief and recovery. We have bilingual case managers and navigators who speak Chuukese, Marshallese, Tongan, Ilocano, Tagalog, and Spanish. View our official press release here.

Support the Immigrant Resource Center
Help us do the do-able. Maui’s immigrant community, especially the 32% who live in Lahaina, have irrefutable needs. As survivors, they face daunting challenges in rebuilding and reimagining their lives.
For 50 years, Pacific Gateway Center has stood side-by-side, hand-in-hand, with those displaced in the world to provide a sense of belonging to Hawaiʻi and ensuring services and opportunities are available to them as they transition and embark on new pathways.
We create a safe haven for these vulnerable populations, offering referrals and direct client services in housing, medical, legal, food, and other basic necessities. More importantly, we address all language barriers to programs and services to ensure help is available.
These services are compelling now for Maui. Please join us in helping Maui’s immigrant communities rebuild their livelihoods with hope, respect, and dignity.
