Kara Teng
Managing Attorney of the UCP
Kara graduated with a B.A. from UH Manoa ('12) and a J.D. from Richardson School of Law ('17), where she externed for the Hawaii Immigrant Justice Center. After law school, Kara clerked for Judge Rhonda I.L. Loo and the San Francisco Immigration Court, where she advised immigration judges on complicated applications for asylum and other relief.
She has worked as an immigration staff attorney at The Legal Clinic, the Refugee & Immigration Law Clinic at Richardson School of Law, and Speak Out & Up Law, LLC, where she represented both children and adults before the Honolulu Immigration Court, USCIS, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
